The following story is inspired by true events.

After a few weeks of working with the business team we finally got the roadmap for the rest of the year signed and approved, as usual, a couple of months later the guys from the business team gave us a new project that came directly from the leadership board. All of our dev resources had been already assigned to the projects on the roadmap, and neither did the business team or leadership board wanted to remove a project in the roadmap to make room for the new one, this means that we had to deliver the whole roadmap plus the new project and we didn't have resources available, so we decided to outsource the new project, and after a minor delay our vendor completed the project. We reviewed and approved their technical design. The business team was pushing to go live, all the unit tests were passing, but we didn't have the weeks we needed to complete a full code review. After discussing the risks with the business team we pushed the code to production. Everything seemed to be ok, but a couple of months later the business comes to us, they're not getting the expected results. Now the leadership board is demanding some answers. After a deep dive, we find different issues in the code, it has some bugs and it is not maintainable nor does it follow our best practices and it's very hard to troubleshoot. The vendor is not here, so it's our problem now and we have to take care of it. There are many valuable lessons that we can extract from that story. Yes, our team made some mistakes, but in the end what we needed was a partner that could deliver the project with the same quality as us.

How much does it cost?
It depends on the project, team composition and phase of the project, our hourly rates vary depending on the role. Our cost is compatitive compared to other consultant companies and is mostly based on the number of ex Big Tech engineers that we put on the team, the cost could go down nearly 30% if only one ex Big Tech is assigned to the team.
With engineers with that level of experience, why is it so cheap compared to other consultant companies?
For two main reasons, 1) Our ex Big-Tech engineers lead the projects and we mix them with engineers that don't have the same background. 2) Some of our engineers live in the US and others live in Mexico. Salary ranges are different.
Why can I only hire Hummingbird DG to develop my projects and not individuals to augment my in-house team?
Success depends not on one individual but on the whole team, we want to remove any hassle from you by taking full ownership of your project, by doing this we can make sure that our proven processes and practices are being followed, and as a result we build fast, secure, compliant and maintainable systems that are easy to operate.
Will the team work on-site?
Some of our resources are distributed in the US and Mexico and work remotely, working on-site all the time will increase the project's overall cost. We will visit your offices once the project begins, and we will evaluate if we need to arrange more visits, as well as their duration.
